This prolonged spell of rain has kept day temperatures under check and hot weather conditions are at bay. At present, day is largely comfortable but increase in humidity is causing discomfort.
As reiterated by Skymet Weather, these rains can be attributed to the passage of Western Disturbance over Jammu and Kashmir and its induced cyclonic circulation over North Punjab. Also, a trough is extending from West Rajasthan to Northwest Bay of Bengal across northwestern plains which has been further enhancing the rains.

With these systems in offing, rains and thundershowers are likely to visit Delhi-NCR today also but intensity will be confined to light only.
Now, with these systems clearing away the region and trough oscillating to north along the foothills of Himalayas, rains will vacate Delhi-NCR by tomorrow. However, one or two isolated thundershowers or dust storm towards late evening cannot be ruled out as departing systems will be leaving lots of moisture in the atmosphere.
Day temperatures which had reduced will start rising gradually, leading to warm and humid weather conditions. But the uncomfortable weather will not last for long as another spell of good rains is approaching Delhi by coming Monday.
