Bihar and East Uttar Pradesh received normal monsoon rain during monsoon 2021. Both region remained surplus by 3%. On the other hand, west Uttar Pradesh remained rain deficient with -21%. In fact, west UP along with K&K and Ladakh are only meteorological divisions which were rain deficient.

Low pressure area is over Bihar and has already given moderate to heavy rain over Eastern parts of Uttar Pradesh and parts of Bihar during last 24 hours. The low-pressure area will gradually move towards sub-Himalayan West Bengal. But a trough along with LPA will continue to give good rain over Eastern part of Uttar Pradesh and parts of Bihar until October 4.

This may be the last good rain spell over These areas. Monsoon will soon commence its backward journey. Most probably from October 6th from west Rajasthan. Withdrawal of monsoon will be rapid and between October 8 and 10. Monsoons can withdraw from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar as well.

Skies will be clear and cloudless; sun will be bright and day temperatures may increase marginally. But due to reduction in humidity and westerly dry winds, morning and nights may become pleasant.
