Northeast Monsoon

During the last three to four days, Northeast Monsoon had picked up pace with light to moderate rains with isolated heavy showers over Tamil Nadu. Scattered rains were seen over parts of Kerala and Karnataka with isolated showers over Karnataka.

Weather in South Peninsular India has almost gone dry with rains remaining almost nil over Kerala, Coastal Tamil Nadu, Karnataka in the last 24 hours. However, isolated rains were seen in some parts of Interior Tamil Nadu with scattered showers over North Coastal Andhra Pradesh.

Now, easterly, northeasterly winds will continue to feed moisture over North Coastal Andhra Pradesh. Therefore, we expect light to moderate rains to continue today as well. However, weather of Kerala, Tamil Nadu will remain almost dry. However, isolated rains are also possible over Interior and coastal parts of Karnataka. Light to very light rains will be seen over some parts of Tamil Nadu.

Thus, we can say that during the fag end of Northeast Monsoon, weather will once again go dry. Now, we do not expect any weather activities. Thus, Northeast Monsoon will remain subdued until the very end as very soon, Northeast Monsoon will officially come to an end.
