The state of Gujarat has been battling hot weather conditions for quite some time now. Temperatures have remained in the higher range with maximums even reaching a whopping 40 degrees over a few parts of the state.

Talking about yesterday, Bhuj in Gujarat did see the maximum temperature going above the 40-degree mark and settled at 40.4 degrees Celsius. Other parts also saw maximums in the higher 30s with Kandla seeing maximums at 39.6 degrees, Surendranagar 39.3 degrees, Deesa 38.6 degrees, Rajkot 38.6 degrees, Naliya 38.4 degrees, and Porbandar 38.1 degrees.

Presently, an Anti-Cyclone lies over Southeast Rajasthan and adjoining West Madhya Pradesh. Due to this, northerly and northeasterly winds are prevailing over the state of Gujarat. These winds are dry and hot in nature.

These temperatures will remain in the higher range in the next 24 hours. Thereafter, wind pattern is expected to change and become westerly in nature over Kutch region.

Thus, maximum temperatures will drop marginally over the Kutch region along with which night temperatures will see an increase, but dry weather will continue. However, temperatures over Saurashtra will remain the same.
