But now, pre-Monsoon activities are set to pick up pace once again. According to Skymet Weather, a trough is seen running from East Bihar up to northern parts of West Bengal.

In wake of this, weather has already gone pleasant over the city of joy. However, we do not expect any rain or thundershowers activity over Kolkata on Thursday. Though, isolated thunderstorm cannot be ruled out but chances are bleak.

Rain and thundershowers will start making appearance from April 28 and are most likely to continue till April 29. These pre-Monsoon rains will be intense and of short duration. But as per their nature, these showers will occur only during the late afternoon or evening hours.

Thus, these activities will not have much impact over temperatures, as mercury would have peaked by that time.

Meanwhile, nearby areas of Bankura, Barddhaman, Birbhum, Murshidabad, Nadia and West Midnapore are likely to record thunder squall or thunder storm during the late evening or night hours.
