The city of Kolkata has not been witnessing good rains for the past few days. So much so that the City of Joy has only been seeing traces of rainfall in the last few days. The last 24 hours also saw similar weather conditions with traces of rainfall making appearances over the city of Joy.
However, the residents of Kolkata should be all prepared to rejoice as rain gods are all set to give some good rains over the region. In fact, these showers will begin over the Joyous City of West Bengal today onward itself.

These rain and thundershowers will be light in nature as on today. However, thereafter, there will be an increase in intensity tomorrow onward. So much so that these rains will become more intense on October 8 which is why moderate with isolated heavy showers are expected during this period.

These weather conditions will be attributed to the presence of a cyclonic circulation which is over east central Bay of Bengal. In fact, a cyclonic circulation is also over Telangana and its adjoining areas. Due to these features, good showers will continue over Kolkata and adjoining areas of West Bengal.
