However, this rainfall activity which occurred over the entire state resulted in the state recording five times more rainfall than it usually does during this time period covering up the March deficiency.

The city of Kolkata saw no different weather during the last 24 hours as light rainfall were observed. In a span of 24 hours from 8:30 a.m on Saturday, Alipore observatory in Kolkata recorded 0.2 mm of rain.

Now, due to the incursion of warm and moist winds from Bay of Bengal where an anticyclone is persisting, weather conditions are expected to remain humid and warm over the city.

Along with this, short spell of rain and thunder showers me once again make an appearance over Kolkata tomorrow as well as day after tomorrow.

Chances of any weather activity today are slightly unlikely but cannot be ruled out completely. Thus, the residents will continue to witness on and off rains as far as Kolkata is concerned.
