Kolkata Rains

The weather of Kolkata has been playing games for quite some time now. In spite of the onset of Southwest Monsoon 2017 in Kolkata, the weather conditions remained dry and humid during the last few days. However, they reappeared over the city during the last 24 hours.

As per Skymet Weather, these rains can be attributed to the cyclonic circulation persisting over Northwest Bay of Bengal. A trough is also seen extending from Bihar up to this system across Gangetic West Bengal.

Due to these systems, light to moderate rainfall and thundershower activities along with squally winds may occur in many parts of West Bengal including Kolkata. These rainfall activities are normally likely to occur during the late afternoon or evening hours.

In the last 24 hours, Kolkata has received light to moderate rainfall activities. However, other parts of West Bengal may received isolated thunderstorm activities.

However, in the next 24 hours, this light to moderate rainfall along with squally winds may continue to occur over the region. The weather conditions may become pleasant for the residents of Kolkata.
