Know when does Mumbai usually get relief from uncomfortable weather

Southwest Monsoon usually withdraws from the entire country around October 1. Meanwhile, Mumbai witnesses rainfall activity even during the first few days of October, after which rains take a backseat and the city remains dry for months to come.

The rainfall amount in October is still decent enough while it steeply drops during the month of November and comes down to 16.8 mm. Even these rains occur only due to the significant disturbances that take place in the Arabian Sea which is quite a rare occurrence in itself.

December, January, February, March, and April are the driest months for the city of Mumbai. During this period, the city witnesses hot and humid weather conditions. Sea breeze during the evening hours are the only relief in terms of pleasant evenings from Mumbai. In fact, the severe the heat is during the day, the stronger is the sea breeze.

In fact, the first half of me is also dry, while pre-monsoon activity picks up during the second half of the month. Mumbai does witness coastal weather conditions and pre-monsoon is strong over the region. The Arabian Sea she is a few number of weather systems during this time which is why rainfall activity takes place during the second half of May.

Not only this, Mumbai also see significant variations in temperatures and no two years are similar as far as weather conditions are concerned. In fact, the year 2016 happened to be cozier than 2017.

When it comes to getting relief from the intense heat that grips Mumbai throughout the year, it is only the arrival of monsoon which brings in pleasant weather over the region. In fact, with the arrival of monsoon, the change in air mass is seen and Mumbaikars finally get relief from the uncomfortable weather the city gets used to.
