Since last many days, on and off light to moderate have been occurring over Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh regions. Therefore, places such as Khandwa, Indore, Bhopal, Durg, Jagdalpur and Satna have been receiving a good amount of rainfall activities. Also, the residents of these two states have been experiencing comfortable and pleasant weather conditions since a couple of days.
In a span of last 24 hours from 8:30 am on Saturday, Khandwa 72 mm, Ujjain 33 mm, Bhopal 15.3 mm, Durg and Jagdalpur 10 mm, Bilaspur 9.9 mm, Raipur 9 mm, Pendra 8 mm, Indore 7.8 mm, Rajnandgaon 5.2 mm, Guna 4.2 mm, Sagar and Satna 3.8 mm and Jabalpur 1.4 mm.
These weather conditions can be attributed to a low pressure area which is seen lying over Vidarbha and adjoining areas. Also, this weather system is likely to move towards West, later on. Simultaneously, the axis of Monsoon trough is also seen passing across Central parts of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh region.
Due to these weather systems, light to moderate rains at many places have been occurring over Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. Furthermore, cities such as Barwani, Nimar, Indore, Khandwa, Harda, Dhar, Dewas, Jhabua and Shahpur may continue to receive moderate spells of rainfall.
Moreover, as these systems are expected to move in a west direction, the intensity of these on and off light rains with moderate spells of rain at few places is expected to reduce significantly over Chhattisgarh and eastern parts of Madhya Pradesh.

Accordingly, the day temperatures are expected to increase significantly over eastern parts of Madhya Pradesh and the entire state of Chhattisgarh. Hence, the weather conditions are expected to turn completely warm and humid with the cloudy sky to prevail over these regions.

In a meantime, moderate rains at many places are possible to occur over western parts of Madhya Pradesh during the next 24 hours. Though on and off light rains cannot be ruled out over Chhattisgarh region.
