The states of Kerala and Tamil Nadu have been witnessing good rainfall activities during the month of October. Moreover, after the month of October, which was good enough for both these states in terms of rains. On the other hand, rains have not seen a decent enough show in the month of November.
The state of Kerala has seen -5 percent of rains so far, during the Northeast Monsoon season. Meanwhile, Tamil Nadu has seen reduced rains of -16 percent in this season.
In the last 24 hours as well, rainfall activity had remained on the moderate side with most areas observing two-digit rains. Thiruvananthapuram 5 mm, Alappuzha 0.6 mm and Thanjavur 5 mm.
These rains can be attributed to the system which was over Comorin region and its adjoining parts of Equatorial region.
However, now, rainfall activity is expected to reduce over both these states of Tamil Nadu and Kerala. Now, parts of the state will only see scattered showers while other areas will continue to see reduced rainfall activities.
Rainfall activity is expected to see an increase around next week or so.
