As per Skymet Weather, the wind discontinuity is extending from South Karnataka to Kerala. Moreover, a trough is also running from Central India to Karnataka coast.

On account of both the weather systems, the rainfall activity is likely to reduce overall the three states. However, scattered light rain and thundershowers are expected at some parts of Kerala, South Karnataka and few parts of West Tamil Nadu.

These pre-Monsoon activities are likely to continue for the next 48 hours and are expected to increase thereafter.

Gusty winds are also possible over these areas. In fact, there are chances of thundercloud development in parts of North coastal Andhra Pradesh and adjoining Telangana.
