Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Telangana to observe rain and thundershowers

Isolated places in the southern peninsula have been experiencing rain and thunderstorm activities in the last 24 to 48 hours. However, a few places in Kerala have been observing good rains. While a few pockets of Andhra Pradesh coast, Puducherry and South Karnataka also observed light rain at the same time.

At present, a trough is extending from the Kerala coast towards the central parts of the country. In the wake of this weather system, rain and thundershower activities will continue at some places in Kerala and South Karnataka. These weather activities will be associated with strong gusty winds.

Also, chances of a few moderate spells in Kerala and Karnataka are a forecast as per Skymet Weather during the next 24 to 48 hours.

During the next 48 hours, a few places in Tamil Nadu may also observe rain and thundershower activities. Due to the presence of a convergence zone, many parts of North Telangana may observe rain and thundershower activities at the same time. While isolated rainfall activities are also likely in North Karnataka, rest Telangana, and Andhra Pradesh.

Thereafter, the weather activities will start reducing in the states of Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka.
