As per Skymet Weather, a cyclonic circulation is seen over the west central Arabian Sea off the Karnataka coast. This weather system was responsible for giving rains over Karnataka, Goa, and Kerala. As of now, this weather system may activate the offshore trough running along the West Coast.

In the wake of the activation of the offshore trough, rains are anticipated to continue over all the three states for another 2-3 days. However, again in contrast with the interior regions, the districts lying in the coastal belt will get to witness more intense showers.
