Rain in Karnataka has managed to keep the weather of the state comfortable for the almost 3-4 days. Due to continuous rainy spell, the maximums across most parts of the state have remained in upper 20’s.
The last 24 hours also bought similar weather conditions for the state. Particularly, the districts of South Interior Karnataka including Bengaluru had received good rains. On the other hand, the regions of North Interior Karnataka and the coastal districts of the state had recorded mainly light with isolated moderate rains only.

Within the span of 24 hours from 08:30 am as on Thursday, Bengaluru recorded good rains to the tune of 68 mm, Chintamani 26 mm, Madikeri 16 mm, Hassan 11 mm, Mysuru 5 mm and Mangaluru witnessed light spells of 0.2 mm.

As per Skymet Weather, a cyclonic circulation can be marked over Southeast and adjoining Bay of Bengal. A trough from this system is extending up to South Interior Karnataka across Tamil Nadu. Because of this weather system, moderate to heavy rains are likely to occur over South Interior Karnataka including Bengaluru and other parts of Karnataka for the next 2-3 days.
Moreover, another cyclonic circulation which is over Southeast Arabian Sea will also enhance the rain activities over Coastal Karnataka for the next 2 days. However, North Interior Karnataka will receive comparatively lesser rains and these rains will be light and scattered.
In a nutshell, Karnataka almost the entire state of Karnataka will get to witness rains for the next 2-3 days.
