Conditions have gripped many parts of the country. So much so that severe heat wave conditions are being observed in many pockets of central north as well as some southern parts of the country.
Moreover, States of Punjab, Haryana, Gujarat, Maharashtra, and even parts of Karnataka are observing temperatures well above the normal levels ranging in the 40s. On the other side, the state of Odisha which is usually the hottest pocket during this period is not even seen maximum reaching 40°.
Raichur in Karnataka recorded 42.8 degrees, Chandrapur, at 43.4 degrees, Akola 43.1 degrees, Kandla 42.6 degrees, Churu 43 degrees, Pilani 43.1 degrees are the cities which are in the club of 43 degrees. These conditions are expected to continue for some more time and temperatures will remain in the same range.
