During the post Monsoon season, Karnataka including Bengaluru has been witnessing good rain and thundershowers. As on October 11, Karnataka is rain surplus by 53 percent rains.

During the last 24 hours also, heavy to extremely heavy rain occurred over parts of Karnataka. In the last 24 hours from 8.30 am on Wednesday, Heavy rain to the tune of 106.8 mm was witnessed by Chitradurga and Raichur 43 mm of rain.
In the same span of time, Bengaluru witnessed 22.4 mm of rain, Agumbe 16.4 mm and Vijayapura 12.4 mm of rain. The interior districts of the state particularly witnessed hefty showers.
At present, a cyclonic circulation is persisting over East Central Arabian sea and is feeding moisture over the state which is leading to good rains. As per Skymet Weather, moderate showers with one or two heavy spells will continue over South Interior Karnataka, as well as over some districts of Coastal Karnataka.

However, the intensity of rain will be less in comparison to the other parts over North Interior Karnataka. After a gap of three to four days, the rain intensity is expected to decrease over most parts of the state including Bengaluru. The weather is warm during the day but comfortable however the mornings and nights are pleasant.
