Jodhpur hardly observed any rains during the entire month of June. However, the last 24 hours were a miracle for most parts of the city. Most districts of Rajasthan have witnessed moderate to heavy showers.
Jodhpur has recorded its best rainfall on Monday recording 73 mm rain. The ‘Sun city’ has also surpassed its highest showers recorded in last 10 years that stands at 48.6 mm in 2008. NOt just that, Jodhpur has also surpassed its monthly average rainfall for June that is mere 40 mm.
In the entire month of June, the city has observed a total of 75 mm rain. It is expected that the city will witness partly cloudy sky with possibility of rain or thunderstorms or dust storm during the next 3 days.
Hence, it can be concluded that Monsoon is just round the corner for the city. More hefty rains are expected in the coming days as the city has already observed first heavy shower of the pre-Monsoon season on Monday.
Bikaner, Jaisalmer, Churu, Ajmer and Jaipur are the other regions of the state that have witnessed moderate to heavy rains in the last 24 hours.
