Since the last two days, rainfall activities have increased over Southwest Rajasthan including the city of Jodhpur. During the span of 24 hours from 8.30 am on Thursday, Jodhpur received 34 mm of rains.

At present, a Well-Marked Low-Pressure Area is over Northeast Rajasthan. A Trough is also extending from this weather system up to North Gujarat. These weather systems are the reason why heavy rains are going on in Jodhpur and its adjoining areas. Moreover, today, Jodhpur received a whopping 69 mm of rain in a span of just six hours from 8.30 am. And if we take into consideration the 12-hour rainfall data from 5.30 am today the city has received 100 mm of rain.

We expect these heavy rains to continue today. By tomorrow, the rain activities will start reducing.

As the Well-Marked Low-Pressure Area, will move further in Northwest direction, we expect only light rains over the state for another 24 hours. Cities such as Jodhpur, Pali, Barmer, and Nagaur will get to see these rains.

Thereafter, the weather will go dry. However, isolated localized weather activities cannot be ruled out.

Today, the day temperature has come down and is being recorded below the 30-degrees Celsius mark. However, in the next two to three days, temperatures will once again climb to mid-30s and can settle close to 35 degrees.
