Some districts of Rajasthan have been recorded light to moderate rains in the last 24 hours. In fact, from past few days, the weather conditions have taken a U-turn and the region has been recording Monsoon showers with comfortable weather prevailing across the state.
In a span of 24 hours from 08:30 am on Saturday, Pali witnessed 25 mm of rainfall, followed by Kota 13 mm, Jalore 12 mm, Udaipur 6 mm, Mount Abu 5 mm, Tonk 3 mm, Sawai Madhopur 2 mm, Jodhpur 1 mm and Bundi 1 mm.
These weather conditions can be attributed to the westward movement of a cyclonic circulation which was prevailing over Chhattisgarh and adjoining areas of Odisha. Moreover, the axis of Monsoon trough is running across Rajasthan.
Weathermen at Skymet Weather expect light to moderate rains o continue over Jaipur, Kota, Nagaur, Ajmer, Jhalawar, Chittorgarh, Pratapgarh and Udaipur for the next 24 to 48 hours.

The weather will be little warm and humid over eastern districts of Rajasthan, while West Rajasthan will be dry and warm.

As far as sub-divisional rainfall distribution is concerned, West Rajasthan is rain surplus by 57%, while East Rajasthan is rain deficit by 1%.
