Due to rain, today's venues for the Jaipur Literature Festival 2014 have been moved to smaller indoor locations. Volunteers have been instructed to guide the visitors who will join the fest today. Information regarding change in venues was found to be displayed on the official website of the worlds biggest literature festival.

The pink city that hosts the festival has witnessed showers in the last 24 hours recording about 3 mm of rain. According to our forecast, weather conditions in Jaipur would continue to remain overcast with spells of rain in parts of the city throughout the next 24 hours as well.

Due to a Western Disturbance, the northwest plains including that of Rajasthan are expected to witness rain and clouds.

According to media reports, today's morning programme is being held indoor in places like the cafes, restaurants and spare rooms of Diggi palace instead of the garden. The Diggi Palace Hotel hosts the literature festival every year.

On the bright side, rain and overcast conditions today are giving visitors a chance to mingle with the acclaimed writers and intellectuals participating in todays programme. Tash Aw (Malaysian Writer), Vikram Chandra (Journalist and writer) and S. R. Faruqi (an Indian poet and one of the leading Urdu critics and theorists) are expected to present during today's programme.

Also, rain has also brought relief from dense fog which was causing delays in flight operation at Jaipur airport in the last two days.
