Since the last few days, some parts of Rajasthan were reeling under hot and dry weather conditions, while there were some districts which were seeing scattered light rainfall and thundershower activities.
Besides, the mercury was also settling above the normal level, close to 45-degree mark. However, in last 24 hours, some good pre-Monsoon rain and thundershower activities had occurred over the state, bringing much needed relief to the residents of Rajasthan.
In the span of last 24 hours from 8:30 am on Thursday, Erinpura recorded 17 mm of rainfall, Jodhpur 15 mm, Bikaner 11 mm, Udaipur 10 mm, Ajmer and Churu 5 mm, Jaipur 4 mm, Kota 2 mm, Chittorgarh and Sawai Madhopur 1 mm.
As per Skymet Weather, a cyclonic circulation is seen over Central parts of Pakistan and adjoining West Rajasthan. Also, a trough is seen extending from this system up to Bay of Bengal across Central India. With this, we expect some good rainfall and thundershower activities to continue to occur over some places of Rajasthan such as Jaipur, Udaipur, Jodhpur, Bikaner, Kota, Ajmer, and Churu during the next 24 hours.
Along with this, few places such as Udaipur and Kota may also witness dust storm and thundershower activities for the next 24-48 hours.

However, western parts of Rajasthan such as Jaisalmer and Barmer will continue to reel under hot and dry weather conditions for the next two to three days. But we expect Southeast and Northern parts of Rajasthan to receive good pre-Monsoon rain and thundershower activities during the next 48 hours.
