As forecast by Skymet, many parts of Rajasthan witnessed pre-Monsoon activities in last 24 hours. There is an induced Cyclonic Circulation over western parts of Rajasthan and a trough from this system is seen extending up to northern parts of Madhya Pradesh. These weather systems have forced widespread weather activities over northern parts of Rajasthan during the last 24 hours. Dust storm was also observed over northern and northwestern parts of the state.
The trough continues to persist and therefore, we expect scattered rain and thundershower activities with isolated dust storm in the region today as well. Sri Ganganagar, Hanumangarh, Churu, Bikaner, Jhunjhunun, Sikar, Alwar, Bharatpur, Jaipur, Dausa and Sawai Madhopur are expected to witness rain and thundershower activities accompanied with dust storm.
These are pre-Monsoon activities, which will largely happen towards afternoon or evening. In the wake of these activities temperatures has gone down, leading to abatement of heatwave conditions in some parts. However, the southern and western districts of the state might continue to face heatwave conditions.
According to meteorologists, these rain and thundershower activities would subside in next 24 hours. Post this, the temperatures would gradually start rising, making way for heatwave conditions over many parts of Rajasthan.
