Dry and hot weather conditions were prevailing over Rajasthan since the last few days. At present, an active Western Disturbance is approaching which is currently over North Pakistan and its associated induced cyclonic circulation lies over southern parts of Pakistan.

Both these weather systems are moving east/northeast wards.

Due to the combined effect of these weather systems, we expect dust storm and thundershowers with squally winds to effect over many places of Rajasthan between April 15 to 17.

In fact, due to clouding and rains, there will be relief from the ongoing heat.

However, from April 18, weather conditions will start improving and day temperatures will rise. But during that time night temperatures will decrease.

Talking about the cropping system in Rajasthan, rain and strong winds are likely to damage the crops as currently wheat crop is being harvested in this region.

Weather Alert: Dust storm and thundershower activities with strong winds (50-70 kmph) will affect over many places such as Ajmer, Alwar, Banswara, Baran, Barmer, Bharatpur, Bhilwara, Bikaner, Bundi, Chittorgarh, Churu, Dausa, Dhaulpur, Dungarpur, Ganganagar, Hanumangarh, Jaipur, Jaisalmer, Jalor, Jhalawar, Jhunjhunu, Jodhpur, Karauli, Kota, Nagaur, Pali, Pratapgarh, Rajsamand, Sawai Madhopur, Sikar, Sirohi, Tonk and Udaipur the districts of Rajasthan between April 15 to 17, 2019.
