The state of Madhya Pradesh has remained under the thick cloud cover of northeast and southeast orientation. So much so that right from the Nepal region up to the West Coast, clouding was witnessed throughout this belt during the last two days.
This cloud cover has resulted in rain over a few parts of Madhya Pradesh as localized cloud masses were embedded in the cloud band over Madhya Pradesh.

During the last 24 hours from 8:30 am on Tuesday, Guna recorded 0.2 mm of rainfall. Meanwhile, during the same time frame, Shajapur and Ujjain recorded traces of rains.
Thus, rainfall activity was confined over the western parts of Madhya Pradesh. Now, the cloud band is shifting eastwards and the western parts of Madhya Pradesh could see clearance by the next 24 hours.
However, East Madhya Pradesh including cities of Jabalpur, Satna, Rewa could see light rains. Due to this cloud cover, night temperatures have risen appreciably. Meanwhile, the day temperatures saw a sharp drop in the last 24 hours.
Let us take a look at the maximum and minimum temperatures and their departure from the normal levels
Now, while eastern parts of Madhya Pradesh are expected to witness rains, temperature trend will remain the same. Meanwhile, West Madhya Pradesh is expected to witness a rise in day temperatures now and minimums are likely to see a sharp drop.
