A few days ago, ISRO had said that Chandrayaan-2 was in "good health" and moving in the "right direction".
Isro will soft land oin the South Pole region of the moon where no country has until now been able to go.
Chandrayaan 2 had taken off from Sriharikota on July 22, after an unsuccessful attempt before. The low cost three stage rocket of ISRO, GSLV-MkIII-M1 was responsible for launching the spacecraft into the Earth's orbit.
The Chandrayaan-2 will have quite a few orbit manoeuvres in the next few weeks to be able to reach the vicinity of the moon. The rover will soft land on September 7.
