Even though, isolated parts of Delhi and NCR received short spell of light rain yesterday; the maximum temperature over the national capital has been observed above the normal range by four degrees. Yesterday; Safdarjung observatory recorded a day temperature of 40.1°C and Palam observatory 39.8°C.
Now, as per weatherman, the axis of Monsoon trough is running through South of Delhi; attracting humid southeasterly winds. Moreover; a cyclonic circulation has developed over South Uttar Pradesh and another circulation is persisting over Chhattisgarh and adjoining Odisha along the trough. This weather system is most likely to move in northwest direction.
Together these weather features are anticipated to intensify rains over the northwestern plains inclusive of Delhi-NCR around July 11 or 12. From then on, good showers can be expected over Delhi, Noida, Gurugram, Faridabad and Ghaziabad that would bring substantial relief from the high humidity as well as dominant sultry weather conditions.
Today also; we are expecting isolated rains over the national capital; however it would not impact the weather anyhow.
