The state of Jharkhand is experiencing dry and warm weather conditions since the beginning of October. Meanwhile, the adjoining state of Bihar, particularly the eastern districts, received rain in isolated pockets during the first week of October.
Due to this prolonged dry spell, at present, Jharkhand is rain deficient by 99% and Bihar by 94%.
Now also, we do not expect any weather activity over both these states for the next 24 hours. In fact, due to clear sky conditions and bright sunshine, day temperatures over both these states are above normal.
However, the probable Cyclone over Bay of Bengal will move near the coast and give heavy rains over Odisha. Therefore, we expect clouds to develop over the state of Jharkhand and Bihar as well.
Thus, by tomorrow isolated light rainfall activity will commence over Jharkhand. On October 11, scattered light rains with one or two moderate spells are possible over both these states.
These scattered rains will continue over these states till October 13. Maximum temperatures will drop down and weather will become comfortable.
Although we do not expect heavy to very heavy rains, but light rains will certainly give some huge relief from the ongoing hot weather conditions.
