CHENNAI SUPERKINGS VS PUNE WARRIORS
MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chepauk, Chennai
Match starts at 8pm
Humidity level in Chennai, along the east coast, will remain in mid-eighties during the T20 cricket tie between men in yellow, Chennai Superkings, and Pune Warriors India at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chepauk in ongoing IPL 2013. In fact, as the sun sets around 6:22 pm and southeasterly winds change into southerly, the humidity level in 70s would start increasing to reach 85% plus by the time the match is over.
A temperature around 30 degrees during the match with high humidity level would test the best of nerves of players from both sides. Chennai, the side familiar with the weather of Chennai would be more comfortable than their counterpart Pune, that is some 167 km away from the coast and is not used to such humidity levels.
Under-pressure situations will cause more sweat and that could result in cramps or hamstring and calf injuries if players don’t keep themselves hydrated enough during the match. Wind speed is likely to be around 10 kmph and that would certainly help them keep their cool in tense moments. The sky will remain partly cloudy throughout the match.
