As per the weather models at Skymet Weather, one after the other feeble Western Disturbances will continue to approach the Western Himalayas, for the next few days. However, their impact will be minimal over the plains of North India.
On March 20 and 21, isolated light rainfall is forecast for the northern districts of Punjab, and Haryana as well. Thereafter, the weather will turn dry once again. Meanwhile, in the presence of these feeble Western Disturbances, the hilly states of North India may observe light scattered rainfall activities.
Looking at the forecast, we expect a fresh spell of good rains in the western parts of Punjab, West Haryana, and West Rajasthan by the evening hours of March 24. This spell of rain will be seen in the wake of another fresh Western Disturbance that will approach the Western Himalayas.
Also, in the presence of these weather systems, the rainfall activities will start increasing in Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Delhi, and West Uttar Pradesh by the evening hours of March 24. We also expect hailstorm activities along with thunderstorms by the late-night hours of March 24.
These weather activities are expected to continue until March 25. During the same episode of this rainy spell, we expect the rains to cover the eastern and central parts of Rajasthan including the pink city of Jaipur, and Ajmer.
Thereafter, i.e by the morning hours of March 26, the weather will start clearing up as the Western Disturbance will pass away in the eastward direction. Also, the induced Cyclonic circulation which would have formed over the northern plains will also fade away.
According to our meteorologists, there is a possibility of another fresh Western Disturbance to approach the Western Himalayas by March 30 or March 31, that will impact the plains of the North.
