North West India, which includes hills of Western Himalayas and northern plains is at present rain surplus by 46% between March 1 and April 14.
Successive intense Western disturbances continued over the western Himalayas during the month of March and April, leading to on and off intense weather activities over Hills and scattered over plains of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, north Rajasthan, and West Uttar Pradesh.
Fresh Western disturbance has given good rain and thundershower Jammu Kashmir and Uttarakhand during the last 24 hours. The intensity of rains will increase over hills today, patchy rain and thundershower with isolated dust storm main occur over parts of Punjab, Haryana, West Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan.
Another Western disturbance will approach Jammu & Kashmir on April 17. During that time, plains of Punjab including Delhi and adjoining areas - Noida, Ghaziabad, Faridabad, and Gurugram may receive rain and thundershower. This Western disturbance will move away by the evening of April 18.
Another Western disturbance in quick succession will approach by April 20th. Between April 20 and 21st, intense weather activities are possible over Hills and at many places over Punjab, Haryana north and West Rajasthan, West Uttar Pradesh and a few places over Delhi and NCR.
The next week is going to be rainy due to series of Western disturbances.
