The hills of North India are all set to see some intense rainfall activities. Today and tomorrow, the states of Jammu and Kashmir as well as Himachal Pradesh will be seeing these rainfall activities. We can expect some heavy rain and thundershowers in these areas. Uttarakhand will be seeing rains starting today lasting up to 29th July.
It will be the foothills of the states that will be seeing more rain activity as compared to other regions. Cities of Jammu, Udhampur, Katra, Vaishno Devi, Srinagar, Samba, and Kathua in Jammu and Kashmir will be the ones seeing intense rains. For Himachal Pradesh, Kangra, Una, Chamba, Bilaspur, Sirmaur, Dalhousie, Solan, Mandi, Shimla.
For Uttarakhand, Dehradun, Rishikesh, Pauri Garhwal, Ramnagar, Nainital, Champawat, Rudrapur, Udhamsingh Nagar.
These showers may not be continuous, the build-up will, however, give short but heavy showers. These rains will be attributed to the combination of two systems, the Monsoon trough which is shifting northward and the western disturbance which can be seen as an upper air cyclonic circulation.
