In fact, rains are here to stay over Hyderabad as well as entire Telangana for next few days. These rains can be attributed to the persistent weather systems over South Peninsula. A trough is seen running from Gangetic West Bengal up to Andhra Pradesh across Telangana. Besides this, a cyclonic circulation is marked over Arabian Sea off Karnataka coast.
With this, a convergence zone has formed over the southern states, making conditions favourable for weather activities over the state including Hyderabad.
It has been raining over the city ever since the beginning of October. In fact, Hyderabad has already recorded 90 mm of rains in first 10 days of the month against the monthly average of 103 mm. With rains to continue over the city, we expect Hyderabad to surpass its monthly average rainfall anytime now.
