Most parts of the country have been reeling under intense heatwave conditions.

While Telangana continues to sizzle with extremely hot weather conditions, heatwave has now also gripped several parts of Himachal Pradesh as well.

Several places in Central, and Northwest India is also under the grip of intense heatwave conditions.

Places including Delhi, Agra, Allahabad, Khajuraho, Churu and Sri Ganganagar have also been observing maximums well above the normal levels.

Peninsular India has also not been left far behind. Many parts of Telangana, Vidarbha, and North Madhya Maharashtra have been recording above normal maximums. The absence of rainfall activity is only leading to an increase in temperatures.

Most areas have been recording temperatures above or close to the 45-degree mark. For instance, Bankura recorded its maximum as 46 degree Celsius, Nizamabad 44.9°C, Delhi (Palam Observatory) 44°C, Ranchi 41.6°C, Nagpur 44.6°C, Churu 44.2°C, Jaipur 41.5°C, Bhopal 42.6°C, etc.

No relief is likely over East, Peninsular and isolated parts of Central India as no weather system is likely to affect the region anytime soon.

However, North India may observe dust storm and thunderstorm activity during the next 48 hours which may bring down the temperatures by 2 to 3 degrees.
