Numerous areas of Gujarat have been observing heavy to very heavy rains during the past few days. To such an extent that the region has even recorded three digit rains wreaking havoc among the residents and bringing normal life to a standstill. With more showers in offing, the situation is likely to worsen.

The past 24 hours were also no different and a few areas recorded torrential rains. These rains could be attributed to a cyclonic circulation which is persisting over Kutch and adjoining South Rajasthan. Also, the off-shore trough is extending along the West Coast. Furthermore, the depression is marked over Odisha and Andhra Pradesh Coast.
