Chhota Rajan was finally deported to India on Friday morning, amidst bad weather conditions in Bali. Rajan, one of most wanted criminals in India, was supposed to be flown to India on Thursday but was delayed due to volcano eruption near Bali.
Special arrangements were made for deporting Rajan but hundreds of tourists are still stranded in the island nation for the third consecutive day.
As per the local reports, Denpasar airport in Bali continues to be shut. While other two airports on Lombok and Java have also been closed to avoid any untoward incidents.

As the weather conditions improves in Indonesia, Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali has resumed flight operations.
With this, Indian authorities are likely to deport Chhota Rajan on Thursday night by a special chartered flight.
Indian authorities have been stuck in Bali since November 03, after ash from Mount Rinjani volcano on Lombok Island had blanketed Indonesian sky, restricting air traffic.

Weather vagaries continue to play spoilsport in much-awaited deportation of underworld don Chhota Rajan to India.
Reportedly, return of Rajan was cancelled on Thursday also, as volcanic ashes continue to spew from the mountains.
According to local reports, airports are scheduled to resume flights from Friday onwards. Chhota Rajan is likely to be deported to India by a special chartered flight on Friday provided the weather is conducive for flying.

It seems, India will have to wait a little more for the much-awaited return of underworld don Chhota Rajan. First protocol and now weather has postponed the deportation of 55-year old Rajan as volcano eruption from a nearby mountain has led to closure of airport.
Ash from Mount Rinjani volcano on Lombok Island has blanketed Indonesian sky, forcing shutdown of two airports including the Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali that is around 135 km from the affected island.
Rajan was arrested last week in Bali following a Red Corner Notice from Interpol along with a tip off by Australian authorities to the police in Indonesia.
As per National Disaster Mitigation Agency, Mount Rinjani blasted ash and debris up to 3,500 metres into the air on Wednesday. According to the local reports, authorities will have to wait and watch the conditions as it is a natural process. Transportation Ministry will be taking decision on resuming the flights on Thursday.
Thousands of tourists and locals have been stranded on the island nation, as several were seen sleeping on the benches at the airport terminals.
Indonesia is home to 130 active volcanoes and Mount Rinjani is one of them. Being situated on the Pacific “Ring of Fire”, the country is prone to volcanic eruptions and earthquakes. ‘Ring of Fire’ is a geographical area of high and seismic activity around the edges of the Pacific Ocean.
