Indian Meteorology Condition: Rain over weekend to change weather condition in India

February 20, 2014 1:43 PM |

Indian Meteorology condition is likely to change during the weekend as rain is expected in most parts of North India and some parts of South India. In first lag, parts of Punjab, Rajasthan, Haryana, Delhi and west Uttar Pradesh will experience the change in weather condition in India that would start taking place from Friday night onwards.

Indian Meteorology Condition will change due to a Western Disturbance over Jammu & Kashmir and a cyclonic circulation over west Rajasthan. Both the weather systems would move eastwards to change the weather condition in India over eastern parts in the second lag starting from 22nd to 23rd February. Rain will occur in Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar and Jharkhand during this period. There are also chances of rain in some parts of Chhattisgarh and Vidarbha.

Weather condition in South India will also change a little as there are chances of rain in Karnataka, Konkan, Goa, Kerala and Tamil Nadu. A trough (region of moist winds) from the weather systems in North India will increase the chances of rain in these parts as moist winds from the Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal will collide.

Snowfall in Jammu & Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh will be nominal as the Western Disturbance is expected to travel more in the southward direction. Uttarakhand will therefore receive more rain this time as compared to the other two Himalayan states.
