February 23, 2014 2:48 PM | Skymet Weather Team

Skymet's Meteorology Division in India has been bringing the latest updates on weather condition in India. The upper air cyclonic circulation which now lies over west Madhya Pradesh and neighbouring areas will become less marked during the next 24 hours and cease to cause any change in weather condition in India.

As reiterated by Skymet's Meteorology Division in India, the weather has cleared up in North and Central India. The rain belt was widespread but spared the national capital as it remained on the fringes of Delhi/NCR. The rain belt has shifted eastwards and could bring some light rain in Bihar, Jharkhand, and Chhattisgarh and touch West Bengal as well.

Jhansi and Sultanpur in Uttar Pradesh received 2.2 mm and 6.8 mm of rain respectively.

Here’s a list of rain in North India received in the span of 24 hours since 8.30 am on Saturday.

The system has lost its strength and will become insignificant by tonight. The remnants of the circulation could bring light rain in Chhattisgarh, Bihar and Jharkhand and touch West Bengal as well.

In South India, parts of Kerala and Tamil Nadu could receive some light rain in the next 24 hours. As predicted by Skymet's Meteorology Division in India, the Indian Meteorology Condition will change once again but as another cyclonic circulation is expected in the next few days. The system will spare the plains of North India but will bring rain in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and the Marthwada region on the 26th and 27th of February.
