Thiruvananthapuram is hosting the last and 5th ODI between India and West Indies. West Indies had won the toss and decided to bat. West Indies is trailing the series by 1-2.

However, weather might visit the match for a brief period but wash out is ruled out. As per Skymet Weather, a Cyclonic Circulation is over Southwest Bay of Bengal and a trough is extending across South Kerala. Thus, Thiruvananthapuram might receive few short spells of rain. However, we can expect short breaks during match due to some rain activities.

At present, weather over there is cloudy to overcast and the current temperatures are around 28-29 degree-Celsius. The temperatures are expected to rise during match hours and it will touch the mercury around 32-33 degree-Celsius.

West Indies have not beaten India in ODI series since 2006. They have not won two matches in a series against India after 2011.

It is after a long span of 30 years that Thiruvananthapuram is hosting an ODI match. Coincidentally, the last match that the capital city of Kerala had hosted was also against West India in 1988.
