After the practice game being washed out in Benoni and the abandonment of third one day international in Centurion, the first Test match at the Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg between India and South Africa slated to begin tomorrow may see some rain on the first and second day of the match.
According to our forecast, there are chances of rain or thundershowers in Johannesburg on 18th and 19th December. Weather in Johannesburg will be cloudy to partly cloudy on third and fourth day of the match.
Some of the International weather models suggest that light rain may occur tomorrow-the first day of the Test match- during the afternoon session.
Day temperature during the match will vary between 24 to 27 degrees while minimum temperatures will be between 14 to 16 degrees.
Known as the 'Bullring' because of its intimidating atmosphere for visiting teams, the Wanderers has a rich history. It was the third Test ground in Johannesburg following the Old Wanderers Stadium and Ellis Park.
The Wanderers pitch is considered to be difficult for batsmen due to its pace and bounce. And with India not able to play a single practice game due to rain, the going would be tough for team India in the Test matches.
