India vs England 2021 second test

Weather conditions at Chidambaram stadium in Chennai for the 2nd cricket test match commencing 13th February are going to be a replica of the first test. Partly cloudy sky with a sultry afternoon without any rain for the entire duration of 5 days is predicted for Chennai. Warm and humid sweaty conditions in Chennai will surely be testing the endurance of the players on the field. The day temperature will cross 30°C marks on all the days and the minimum likely to stay around 22°C for Chennai during the test match duration. The humidity levels in Chennai will be high and more than 75% in the morning and reach about 50% in the afternoon. Sea breeze speeding to 15-20 kmh could be of some relief during afternoon and evening.

Unseasonal weather activity is expected over the central parts of the country, not very far from the state of Tamil Nadu on 16th & 17th February. Also, a disturbance hanging around Sri Lanka and the Gulf of Mannar will pour few showers over the southern parts on these 2 days. However, Chennai will remain at a safe distance from either of the two incursions of weather. Light rain and showers are likely over Chennai but only after the test match concludes on 17th February.

Chennai has not received any significant rain since the downpour in the 1st week of January. Trace of rainfall was recorded in Chennai on 02nd and 08th February. Dry weather conditions are expected until 17th February. Cloudy sky with light rain at few places and moderate spell in isolated pockets is expected between 18th and 20th February for Chennai and suburbs.
