IND vs ENG: Rain to spare T20 match in Kanpur

January 26, 2017 3:24 PM | Skymet Weather Team

Weather conditions have turned rainy in the plains of North India during the last 24 hours. So much so that even now, several parts of Delhi and the NCR region along with parts of Punjab, Rajasthan and Haryana have been witnessing good rainfall activity accompanied with lightning strikes.

These weather conditions can be attributed to the presence of an induced cyclonic circulation over North Pakistan and adjoining areas of Punjab and Rajasthan developed under the influence of the prevailing Western Disturbance in the hills of North India.

However, the state of Uttar Pradesh has been spared from any rains. The T20 series between India and England which is scheduled to begin today in Kanpur is likely to be spared. The weather conditions are expected to remain cloudy throughout the match.

However, the possibility of rainfall is highly unlikely as rains are likely to begin during the late-night hours and continue until tomorrow. Thus, no interruption of rainfall is likely in the first match of the three T20 match series which is scheduled at 4:30 pm.

The T20 series is the first for newbie Captain Virat Kohli. India has already won the ODI series against England 2-1 with Yuvraj Singh making a smashing comeback. MS Dhoni has also been a star performer after scoring 134 runs in the second match. The newbie Kedar Jadhav has also been a boon for the Indian Team.
