Updated on October 7, 1:20 PM: Warm and humid weather is currently prevailing over Ranchi. As per Skymet Weather, isolated thunderstorm with light rain is expected over the city. The weather activity is mainly likely during the afternoon and early evening hours. Strong gusty winds will also prevail during that time. These weather activities may hinder the T20 match which will be played today between Australia and India. The showers will be attributed to a cyclonic circulation which is persisting over North Bay of Bengal and a cyclonic circulation which has developed over south coastal Odisha and southerly/south-south easterly moist winds are also prevailing over the region.
The Indian Cricket Team has been playing extremely well during this 5 ODI and 2 T20 series against Australia. The Aussie guests have been not feeling welcome at all as the Men in Blue have left no stone unturned in ensuring that they do not let them win at all.
The 5 ODI series has come to an end, and Team India did come out with flying colours. In fact, the Men in Blue did win a massive four out of five games. As far as weather conditions are concerned, rain threat does loom large over the city of Ranchi tomorrow as a cyclonic circulation is over east central Bay of Bengal and is likely to move northwestwards.
Thus, good rains are expected to make an appearance over Ranchi during the late afternoon hours with cloudy sky conditions. While rains may not last until 7 PM, i.e. when the match begins, but the possibility of a spell or two of thundershowers cannot be ruled out during the night.
