These rains and thundershowers can be attributed to the two back to back Western Disturbances over Jammu and Kashmir, which has induced a trough running all along the northwestern plains.
Besides Fatehabad, places such as Bhiwani and Panipat in the state have also recorded hailstorm. Crop damage was not only confined to Haryana but parts of Rajasthan like Jaipur, Jaisalmer, and Barmer too reported hailstorm.
