IN PICS: How Chennai was flooded in December 2015

Last year, during the first few days of December,Chennairains broke several records including a century-old rainfall record. Chennai floods hit the capital city ofTamil Naduhard.

Normal life came to a standstill due to record breaking rains. Roads were submerged and homes were inundated in water. Several causalities were recorded.

Due to the floods, all transport operations were badly affected. Also, flight operations were shut down for a few days. The floods have caused immense damage to life as well as property.

It’s been almost a year since that horrid incident took place but Chennaites seemed to have recovered from it. However, the scars still continue to haunt them.
