For continuous three days, places like Deesa and Banaskantha have recorded 3-digit rainfall. As a result, rivers are flowing near the danger level.
So far, over 80 people have been reported to be dead, while over 40,000 people have been evacuated.
Reportedly, 32 dams in the state are flowing above the level, while 16 dams have already reached 80%-90% of its capacity and 41 dams have reached 70%-80%.
NDRF along with Air Force has been pressed into the rescue operation, however, ongoing rains are hampering the relief work. Though rains are likely to reduce but moderate rains with one or two heavy rains will still continue.
