The Christmas of 2016 brought good news for the residents and the tourists travelling to the snow-clad city. Thereafter, dry weather took over and visitors ringing in the new year in Shimla were utterly disappointed as the weather remained clear in Shimla.
However, the rain gods or we may call them the snow gods in this case have been bestowing their kindness over the residents and tourists during the past 24 hours or so. Widespread moderate to heavy rain and snow has been recorded in Shimla with the city recording 52 mm of rainfall.
In fact, the city looks no less than a wintry wonderland right now with every home covered in a thick blanket of snow. The city looks like one of those areas perfect for describing those fairy tale homes where the snow glows white on the mountains.
