During the last two to three days, many parts of Himachal Pradesh and few places over Uttarakhand have recorded moderate rains with few heavy spells. During the same juncture, scattered rain showers continued over Jammu and Kashmir.

Correspondingly, we expect light to moderate rains to prolong over the Western Himalayas during the next 24 hours.  Subsequently, the weather forecasters anticipate significant reduction in the rain intensity; paving way for nearly dry but pleasant weather by June 25.

In fact, temperatures will too augment by two to three degrees, due to reduction in rains. Plus, we expect the probabilities of landslides and mudslides to improve that have wreaked havoc during the past few days.

So, we would say that it is the apt time to visit these enthralling hills of North India, wherein one mountain is the bottom of another.

Furthermore, the temperatures that were settling above the normal range have now been below normal by 3 o5 degrees Celsius in Jammu and Kashmir and Uttarakhand, while six to eight degrees Celsius below normal in Himachal Pradesh.

So, we expect gradually increase in temperatures that will settle near the normal level during the next 3 to 4 days.
