The capital city of Telangana, Hyderabad has received its first winter spell of rain. In fact, it is the first winter rainy spell in the month of February in the last three years. Moreover, the other observatory of the city also witnessed rain traces. These rains can be attributed to the convergence of southeasterly winds from the Bay of Bengal and southwesterly winds from the Arabian Sea. With the confluence of these winds, the cloud cover increased over most part of Telangana including Hyderabad.

In wake of the rainfall activity, the night temperatures increased by 2 degree Celsius and settled at 17.9 degree Celsius. However, the day temperatures remained unchanged.

Now, the rainfall activity has taken a backseat as the confluence zone has moved eastwards. In fact, as per Skymet Weather, we expect the weather to become dry over Telangana including Hyderabad for the next 24 hours

However, between February 11 and 13, isolated light rains are expected to make a comeback over Hyderabad and parts of Telangana as the convergence of southeasterly winds from the Bay of Bengal and southwesterly winds from the Arabian Sea is likely to take place once again. During that time, the minimum temperatures are expected to increase and the maximum temperatures will reduce.
