Several districts of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh have failed to record any significant good amount of rains. In fact, since last many days, dry weather conditions are prevailing over Hyderabad city and adjoining areas of Andhra Pradesh.
Within a span of 24 hours from 8:30 am on Thursday, the entire state of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh did not receive any traces of rain thus, remained rain-free.

These weather conditions can be attributed to a cyclonic circulation which is seen persisting over southeast Bay of Bengal close to Sri Lanka. A trough is also seen extending from coastal parts of Bay of Bengal up to south Tamil Nadu coast across the above-mentioned weather system.
Due to the change in the wind pattern over the coastal areas of Andhra Pradesh as well as over Telangana. With this, very light winds are also prevailing over northern parts of Hyderabad, which are later likely to change into northeasterly winds.
Due to the prevailing weather conditions, short spells of rain and thundershower activities are likely in some parts of Telangana including Hyderabad, today. But, tomorrow onwards, weather conditions are expected to turn dry over the aforementioned region.

In the meantime, coastal parts of Andhra Pradesh such as Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, Guntur, Prakasam and Nellore will witness isolated rain and thundershowers during the next 24 hours.
Day temperatures are expected to drop significantly over coastal areas of Andhra Pradesh as well as over Rayalaseema. Whereas, haze is possible during the morning hours over Telangana and northern parts of Andhra Pradesh for next few days.
